Earthquake Of Magnitude 7.2 Hits Southeastern Taiwan Video
The US Geological Research gave out that the quake which occurred on Saturday was not over, and they also said that on Sunday the quake might get extended to a magnitude of 7.2 and at 10 km of depths. It was also reported by the Taiwanese media that a convenience store which was a low-rise building collapsed and one de-railed carriage was observed. Although there were many reports about the casualties not occurring as a result of the earthquake it is still unclear if anyone is hurt. Several buildings were abandoned and many people were moved to safer places as the earthquake warning was given out.

Apart from that Japan’s weather agency also issued a warning for the civilians that a tsunami would make its way into the city and whose waves would be as long as one meter for a part of Okinawa prefecture after the earthquake took place. The epicentre was reported to e I Taitung county and it was seen that a magnitude of 6.4 was recorded, As per the fire department of Taiwan, two people were stuck inside the building of a convenience store, and this occurred in the Yuli area. Hopefully, the two of them were helped and they escaped alive. Another report suggests that a vehicle was overturned because it fell off a bridge, three people were injured but escaped alive and were transferred to the hospital.
One Dead In Southeastern Taiwan
In the de-railing of a carriage, one person was said to be injured but he made it alive. Later it came out that around 68 people were stuck on the Scenic Chike Mountain who were trapped because of the road blockage, but no one was injured, they were rescued by the fire department. Although the USA Pacific Tsunami alert was generated on Saturday, later they lifted the alert as everything came back to normal. Though there was no loss of life, there was a huge loss caused to the roads, buildings, and many other public places as well. The quake was also felt across Taiwan as reported by the local media and buildings were shaken in Taipei’s capital as per many of the reports.
